Grosgrain

Grosgrain

£7.50

Inspired by cricket jumpers, vintage ribbons and 1960s fashion, the Grosgrain slipover combines a classic minimalist look with playful pops of colour. The slightly oversized fit and higher v-neck offer a fresh take on the slipover, making it easy to style while staying relaxed and comfortable.

Knit in fingering weight merino held with a strand of silk mohair, this piece is both luxurious and simple, with just enough shaping detailing around the neck and shoulders to keep things interesting. Whether layered over a t-shirt, shirt, or dress, the Grosgrain slipover is versatile, stylish, and perfect for transitional weather.

About the construction

Grosgrain is knitted seamlessly from the top down. You cast on for the Back Neck and increase at each end of every row until you reach the full width of the Shoulders, then work the Upper Back to the bottom of the Armholes. Then, you will pick up and knit the Front Shoulders, shaping the Neck and Armholes until you reach the bottom of the Front Neck. Then, join at the bottom of the Front Neck and work Chest to the bottom of the Armholes. Join to work in the round and work the Lower Body to desired length. The Neckband and Armhole Trims are picked up and worked in the round.
