11 Weeks of Rilo: 5 of my Favourite Hats So Far
It has been only 11 weeks since I first released the Rilo Hat knitting pattern and what a wonderful journey it has been so far!
I've wanted to write knitting patterns for a long time now, but I've always felt uncertain that I could be successful doing it. Rilo was released in early December to test whether knitters might be interested in my designs. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that over 770 people would have downloaded it in less than 3 months! Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are the best!
As I approach another pattern release (Get the 28th February in your diary!) I wanted to showcase some of the beautiful Rilo projects that have been completed so far, as shared on Instagram and Ravelry.
What makes me smile from ear to ear is seeing your take on my pattern. Each of us has a unique sense of style and seeing my Rilo in so many variations gives me such a thrill. Whether it's with colour, yarn or even pompoms, you knitters are getting creative and I love it!
As well as the adorable mini-model, Trianne's hat is a beautiful fit and that red colour is absolutely gorgeous. Turquoise is one of my favourite colours, so I was thrilled to see Genevievemartin's Rilo. That pompom looks absolutely sumptuous too! Rachel of Tangledyarnuk is a girl after my own heart knitting her Rilo in Blacker Swan DK. The finished hat looks super cosy! Knitiam knitted her Rilo in a fabulous neon, rainbow speckled yarn and wow! The results are divine. I'm in love with that speckled pompom! Finally, BearPawStudios knitted her Rilo in a super-soft and cosy undyed alpaca yarn and topped it off with a gorgeous fluffy pom.
Thanks again for all of your enthusiasm over Rilo. I hope we can continue to knit together for many years to come!
